Globalization and culture shock

Thanks for the fast development of technology and communication, such as TV, Internet or cheap airplane, globalization, a term of shorten gap among different nations makes the cultures communicated frequently more than ever.

However, as a result, culture shocks always happened with this trend. Basically, culture shock can be defined as a process of feeling changed when moving to a foreign country ,which may because of different language, behavior, cuisine, values, religions .Besides, as a international student, the most direct part; education will be concentrated on as follow.

At first phase of culture shock, Honeymoon, I met the differences of the surface such as race or architecture which made me so exciting .Yet, at Negotiation Phase, I started to feel some difference in deep-mind.

Take academic scope for example. The main part impressed me is the relationship between teacher and students, just like friends. Compared with mostly eastern countries, teachers are who we should respect as parents. But now I already move on the Adjustment Phase. I turn to accept that the differences are reasonable then face everything with a positive attitude.

To be honest, I find it is quit interesting to think the difference progressively . In my opinion, the only way is keep optimism ,passion, and just do not forget to be oneself no matter in anytime and anywhere!

By way of conclusion, people in the world now get closer owing to globalization ,while some culture shocks might be happened. In fact, it is a great opportunity for leaning respect and tolerance. Meanwihle, culture shock will make one develop a better understanding of oneself and stimulate personal growth. For me, I sincerely appreciate this challenge.
